The height of the buildings get lost sometimes in photos but the birds in this photo really help to illustrate the magnitude of the skyscrapers in this particular area of midtown near the Empire State Building.

Midtown, New York City.
I have always loved this particular view of the skyscraper at 135 East 57th Street. This building was featured as the headquarters of Oscorp, Norman Osborn’s company in the 2002 motion picture Spiderman.
—You can now also purchase my photography on a wide variety of merchandise (t-shirts, magnets, postcards, iPhone/iPad cases, posters, the list goes on). To view all of these New York City gifts and products at my store, click here.

Read Across America Installation. New York Public Library. Midtown, Manhattan.
On February 24, the National Education Association (NEA) and Target launched this year’s Read Across America program with an opening ceremony at the New York Public Library in midtown. Target donated 25,000 Dr. Seuss books to New York schools, thanks in part to a book grant from Random House Children’s Books.
(Clicking through the photo will take you to where it is located on Flickr where you can see larger versions and/or more information.)
Another excellent shot of the NYPL’s READ installation, this time at night, by Vivienne. Awesome.
